Dental Implant Surgery

Implants are the most predictable, longest lasting, and least harmful replacement for missing teeth. Over the years, research has shown us that the most successful and most aesthetic teeth replacements have come from dental implants that are placed using a digital plan with a digital surgical guide.

We have the technology to scan your mouth to make a 3-D model. When we combine that with a 3-D x-ray of your jaw, we can digitally place the implant in the exact, perfect location with no guesswork. We know where the nerves, blood vessels, and adjacent teeth are located.

First, the tooth is placed in the correct location digitally. Next, the dental implant is placed digitally by Dr. Cantwell in the proper depth and angulation needed to support the tooth above it. Last, a surgical guide is 3-D printed, and Dr. Cantwell uses it to place your dental implant in the precise location needed for that future tooth.

You would never build your home's foundation before you designed your house. Why would you put your implant in before you decided where the tooth was going to go?
